Editing is a very important part of the process…and one that many rookie Authors, working on their own, miss the mark on.
The editing process includes a structure and flow edit, referred to as a Line Edit. Next, we review the manuscript to tighten up the prose and improve the grammar, finding areas that need improvement or perhaps, need to be moved to a different section of the book.
As the editing process evolves, the book truly gets better and better as you will review and provide feedback to the ghostwriter. Some projects go three rounds of edits…and some go twenty…it just depends on your book (and how involved you want to be).
Words on a page don’t truly come to life until they are wrapped up in a beautiful design. When the chapters of your book are laid out in a visually appealing way with images and color, it is then that you can say, “I have a book!”
Our design team creates a front cover that visually captures the theme and message of your book. The back cover, almost as important as the front, serves as a promotional piece for the book, explaining why people should read it and what they will get out of it.
Finally, the interior layout is done, in order to get the book ready for print. We’ll find out what other books you like and take a look at them. We’ll give you a few options on fonts, layout and chapter design so you can select what looks good to you.
Once this step is done, your book will go to the printer!
